Our wonderus honey bees have been busy in the lavender fields making honey. The blossoms are a favorite treat for the bees and you can almost see how happy they are when the lavender begins to bloom. The result of all their hard work is a wondrously rich honey with mildly sweet floral notes -a true favorite among our family members. The honey is a dark rich color and as soon as you open the jar the delicate floral notes touch all your senses. We love to enjoy the honey right out of the jar, on breads, in beverages, and as a sweetner substitue.
Many of our beekeeping friends believe lavender to be the bees’ favorite flower for the prolific amount of nectar it produces.
